Normally I could get these no problem using Yum however this is running on a Tablet PC that I just bought and it has no ethernet port! Only WIFI! This of course means I cannot use Yum to get the packages and although it compiles without It doesn't work.Ĭould I somehow use ndiswrapper to hook up my wifi in the mean time as there is a Windows driver for it. Now I have had a look at this however they don't have the specific Kernel version I want (2.6.35.686) so I tried compiling the partial open source from scratch.although it compiles succesfully it states that I do need the "build-essential" and linux headers for my kernel. There is the website but if you see the link it's in maderin which to be honest is not much help to me !Ĭan anyone direct me to the best course of action, keep in mind it's a dual WIFI and Bluetooth chipset but I am simply concerned with getting my WIFI working.
